HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER!
We hope you have enjoyed our spring events! Now it’s time for a short summer break—but don’t worry, our development work and the planning of a wonderful autumn together continues!
This year, we have begun taking steps toward internationalizing our community. Helsinki is becoming an increasingly international capital city, and it is a joy to develop our operations so that we can also support women entrepreneurs from international backgrounds! The spring already saw our first English and bilingual events. Behind the scenes, further progress is being made—we have a fantastic DEI team made up of international women who are helping us develop our activities.
One of these is the revamp of our website to make it even more user-friendly and bilingual (Finnish – English). We are designing the revamp over the summer and hope to have the renewed site live at the start of next year. We are also planning our autumn events, guided by the responses to this survey: https://www.lyyti.fi/questions/582221af2c (you can still reply, we are keeping an eye on the answers :))
AI has already been heavily requested, so we are currently looking for the best AI trainer specifically tailored to the needs of small business owners. Sales and financing were also highly requested themes, and because of this, it is an absolute joy to kick off the autumn with these exact topics with Noora Fagerström on Thursday, September 3rd at 9:30 AM at our HYN space. After a one-hour training, there will be an opportunity to stay and co-work so you can put the training into practice right away, empowered by the support of the community. There are plenty of other amazing events coming up, so make sure to stay tuned through our upcoming newsletters and WhatsApp group!
Thank you for being part of this journey! What our world needs most right now is community and women supporting one another. Are you about to start a new training program or course? Thinking about updating your skills and knowledge base through education, but the costs feel a bit too high? Our fantastic member benefit is here to support you financially. Apply for a scholarship benefit—just fill out the application and we will review it. Scholarship applications can be submitted year-round, but they are processed twice a year. Applications are reviewed collectively on April 15th and November 11th. Please note: The scholarship application must ALWAYS be submitted BEFORE the training begins. An individual scholarship can be up to €990. Read the detailed instructions and fill out your application today — and definitely before you start your studies!
